Places you can visit to view this mesmerizing natural phenomenon ?
Well
there are various places that you can visit which offers a great
viewing locations. For your best chances to experience Aurora in the
months of winter than one must visit north from October to April. In
North Iceland, Alaska, Canada, Norway, Arctic and Greenland are some
of the destination where you can visit. It is also said that Aurora
is most active in Northern part and due to this fact, there are lots
of places you can visit and experience the beauty of mother earth.
There is complete arrangements for the people in North where people
can go and see the Aurora in regular basis.
However
in South it is completely a different story. Its said that Aurora is
not found to be much active in this part of earth and so there is
less press coverage. This is the reason when you look online there is
more coverage of northern lights. For instance in South New
Zealand, Australia, Argentina, Tasmania, Antarctica are some of the
places which experiences the Aurora. Your best bet for viewing the
Aurora in South is to get on a cruise ship and head down as far as
they take you.
Polar Lights |
Can you see Polar Lights with the naked eye ?
The
answer is Yes, but there is some limitations. As per as human eye
which have cones and rods i.e the cones works during the day time and
the rods works at night time. Thus the human eyes view the Polar
lights generally in Black and White and so the human eyes can't see
the relatively 'faint' colors of Aurora at night.
However
the DSLR don't have any of these limitations as because of high
quality sensors which gives a much dynamic range of vision in the
dark than us and so in pictures we can observe the exact colors of
Polar Lights. If you want to experience polar lights you need a
dark, clear night also.
At
last if you are someone who is much fortunate and want to witness
some extraordinary natural beauty and phenomenon, than you can visit
any of these places that experiences this phenomenon and be a part of
it and later you can come back share your Polar lights story with us .
